It is the ability to look at a person and see who they were always meant to be, as plainly as anything else in the room, even when they cannot see it yet themselves. David has carried that kind of sight his entire life, and he has never wanted to turn it off.

He has walked alongside people in coffee shops and hospital rooms, across kitchen tables, and through the phone calls nobody else was willing to answer. Again and again, the people who found him met someone who saw what they had stopped believing was there, and who loved what he saw with a consistency that made no sense to them. Over time, the person they had resigned themselves to being gave way to the person they had always been.

Years ago, his own mortality asked him a question: what happens to everything you see in people if you never find a way to say it to the world? The books, the teaching, and the speaking are his answer. Underneath all of it is one message. You are loved beyond anything you have done or failed to do, and that love is the ground under every step of your story.

David Kalani Keyes is an author, speaker, mentor, and certified life coach with decades of results and hundreds of stories. He is the founder of eKalani, a movement built on the conviction that every person is beloved and called by name, and with Kim, his wife since 1993, he leads Free Indeed, a ministry of teaching and inner healing. One of the most important things he teaches is how to listen to God.

His full name, David Kalani, means beloved royal one of heaven. He went by David alone from the fifth grade on, and he recovered the name Kalani and its meaning as a young adult. That recovery shaped everything he has built since. David and Kim make their home in Spokane, Washington, and have three sons, Brennan, James, and Marshall.
